    • Surgeon Fee (Dr. DiGiulio’s professional fee)
    • Anesthesiologist Fee
    • Surgical Facility Fee
  • Your surgeon fee includes a 90 day “global period” in which there will be no additional charges or copays for your post-surgical care. The following exceptions are NOT included in the global period, and will be billed separately if needed:
    • X-rays
    • Casts, splints, or braces
    • Treatment of any complications related to your surgery
    • Evaluation of any new problem or injury
    • Physical Therapy

General Information:

  • We ask for as much notice as possible to schedule surgery so that we may obtain authorization from insurance and have you attend a pre-operative visit with Dr. DiGiulio.
  • During the pre-operative visit, the doctor will explain your procedure and recovery in detail and answer any questions you may have.
  • You will receive a folder with info about the surgical facility, prescriptions and any necessary equipment, such as a brace, sling, or crutches.
  • A nurse from the surgical facility will usually contact you a few days prior to surgery to go over important preoperative information.
  • Any surgical facility requires that a family member/friend/caregiver be present during the entire time you are there.
  • On the day of surgery, you will need to arrive 2 hours prior for registration and preparation. Surgery times are subject to change due to equipment availability and case load. Every effort will be made to notify you in advance if your surgery time changes.

Postoperative Information:

  • Dr. DiGiulio will call you the morning after surgery to check on you, usually between 700-745am. Please try to be near your phone to receive his call.
  • Should you have any questions, concerns, or problems Dr. DiGiulio, or a colleague, is available 24/7 through the main office phone at (919) 882-6100.
